Junior Club Event: Jazz in the Sculpture Garden (June 5th)

Join the Junior Club for Jazz in the National Gallery of Art SCulpture Garden on June 5th from 5:30 – 8:00pm.

The concert starts at 5pm if you want to show up right on time, but we’ll be gathering around 5:30pm. We’ll have light snacks, and additional food and drinks are available for purchase.

If anyone with an extra picnic blanket can bring it along, that would be much appreciated! We’ll be claiming a space and posting on this event to let folks know where we are, so keep an eye on the event updates to find us

Tour of Washington National Cathedral Saturday, April 18 at 1:45 PM

Come join us for a tour of the National Cathedral, one of Washington DC’s most historic treasures. Please meet us outside of the church no later than 1:30 PM so that we can start the tour on time!

Postponed: Hall of Human Origins Tour Thursday, April 9, 7:30-8:30 pm

Join us for an exciting after-hours tour of the Smithsonian Natural History Museum’s Hall of Human Origins. Opened in 2010, the Hall of Human Origins is one of the Smithsonian’s newest permanent exhibition halls. The tour will be led by our very own Briana Pobiner (Anthropology ’97), who heads the Human Origins Program’s education and outreach efforts. This is the Club’s fourth outing to the Hall of Human Origins under Briana’s sponsorship and past participants have raved about the tour. Many thanks to Briana for inviting us back again for an encore of this popular event!

Extreme Keys Concert – March 7

One of Bryn Mawr’s most popular a capella groups, the Extreme Keys, are going to be in DC and will be putting on a concert for us! Please join us at 7pm on March 7 in the auditorium at St. Stephen and the Incarnation Episcopal Church (1525 Newton St NW, Washington, DC 20010) for this exciting event. This will be an excellent opportunity to enjoy some great music and meet current students!

Winter Luncheon – February 11

The annual Winter Luncheon will be held on Wednesday, February 11th from 12:00-2:00 in the Loft of the Hamilton Restaurant in downtown DC. Carol Leonnig ’87, a Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative journalist at The Washington Post, will be our guest speaker. Please plan to arrive between 12:00 and 12:15 so that we get started on time.
